There are 4 NAS-IT membership categories, which are as follows:
i) Corporate Membership
ii) Associate Membership
iii) Honorary Membership
iv) Lifetime Membership
Corporate Membership is granted to software development firms, core IT service providers, and technology enabled businesses.
To be eligible for membership, companies must meet the following criteria:
i) Software Development Firms:
Engaged in software development and product sales to domestic and international organizations.
ii) Core IT Service Providers:
Offering fundamental IT services to domestic and foreign clients, such as software development services, DevOps services, and cybersecurity services.
iii) Technology-Enabled Businesses:
Companies primarily engaged in in-house software development to empower technology-enabled business models, including EdTech and FinTech companies.
i) Eligible to be Executive Members
ii) Voting rights at AGM
iii) Participation in NAS-IT organized events, workshops and trainings
iv) Subsidized Fees & Priority Bookings for NAS-IT Events
It usually takes around 2 weeks to process a membership application (from the submission of membership application to a response regarding the decision).
In certain circumstances where the membership committee requires further information, they may propose a physical/virtual meeting.
Membership can be rejected based on the following criteria:
i) Companies that sell hardware or software products or services created by third-party vendors.
ii) If the applicant company fails to submit the required documents
iii) If the applicant company fails to pay the membership fee within the due date
Membership lasts until the end of Asar of each fiscal year. The membership needs to be renewed each Asar.
Membership is awarded to companies rather than individuals. Once the membership is approved, the member company can assign a designated company representative and an alternate representative.
To renew, member companies must submit the tax clearance certificate and required/necessary updates, along with the renewal fee. During the renewal period, corporate membership can be upgraded to lifetime membership.
Upon late payment (up to 9 months from the end of Asar), the membership fee can be renewed by paying an additional 25% of the renewal fee. After 9 months, the membership shall be terminated. To receive membership, such member companies should reapply for new membership.

An Associate Membership is granted to budding companies with less than 3 years of operation.
To be eligible for membership, companies must meet the following criteria:
i) Software Development Firms:
Engaged in software development and product sales to domestic and international organizations.
ii) Core IT Service Providers:
Offering fundamental IT services to domestic and foreign clients, such as software development services, DevOps services, and cybersecurity services.
iii) Technology-Enabled Businesses:
Companies primarily engaged in in-house software development to empower technology-enabled business models, including EdTech and FinTech companies.
iv) Years of Operation
The companies must have been in operation for less than 3 years.
i) Participation in NAS-IT’s invited events, workshops and trainings
ii) Networking opportunities

To renew, member companies must submit the tax clearance certificate and required/necessary updates, along with the renewal fee as per their membership category. During the renewal period, if any associate member has been in operation for more than 3 years, the associate member company must upgrade itself to corporate or lifetime membership.
