On January 15, 2025, a Focused Group Discussion on AI’s Impact on Nepali IT Companies was successfully held at CloudFactory HQ, Jhamsikhel. The session brought together industry leaders from CloudFactory, Naamche, Fusemachines, Facet Technology, Logpoint, YIPL, Eminence Ways, Ekbana, and Quickfox to discuss the challenges and opportunities of AI adoption in Nepal’s IT sector.

Key topics included the shortage of AI talent, financial limitations, and employee concerns about job security. Experts stressed the need for AI training, skill development in prompt engineering, and careful AI adoption that aligns with business needs. Suggestions included hosting AI hackathons, running training programs, and working together to use AI effectively in business.

To keep the momentum going, participants agreed to hold a follow-up hybrid session with international experts to explore further AI integration and collaboration.
